Not many of you know that Krea eKnowledge incubated and continues to fund www.CanDo.ind.in, a social entity that skills and employs people with disabilities (PwD). At Krea, desk research, validation, and telephonic interviewing are executed by people with visual, aural, or physical challenges. Skilling/employing PwDs has been a commitment for over ten years under the “Krea Cares” umbrella.
Post-pandemic lockdown, there is a need to take on a more significant challenge. We, at CANDO, aim to skill and provide placement/employment to 100 people with disabilities in the next 12 months.
Towards this goal, our first step is a “Superstars Matchbook” that lists multiple jobs for PwDs across a matrix of schooled/unschooled and traditional/knowledge sector jobs. This first edition also has a list of non-profits that provide training for specific job roles.
We also thank all the clients at Krea and CANDO who continue to support our initiatives.
Thanks also to the Research intern Anirudh from Amrita School of Business, who did the initial ideation and groundwork. Thanks to Bhanu and the CANDO, and the Krea teams for coming together for this initiative.
Arun Ramkumar from the mojocanvas team did the entire design, and Nandhini Ramkumar strengthened the copy.
CEOs, Friends, Connections: Please help out and look at employing at least one person with disability in your organization. Have a look at the jobs listed and reach out to 1K@cando.ind.in if you need assistance with skilling and recruiting for specific job openings you will have.
